Tour description
The Saint Anne Marine National Park is about 5km off the east coast of Mahe (Eden Island) and can only be reached by boat. It was established in 1973 to protect six islands: Saint Anne Island (the largest), Ile Moyenne, Ile Round, Ile Long, Ile Cachee, and Ile Aux Cerfs.
What to expect:
Start your adventure at Eden Island Marina, where you’ll board a glass-bottom boat to explore the amazing underwater world of a protected coral reef. Throughout the day, you'll be in the Marine Park, surrounded by stunning turquoise waters and beautiful landscapes. You’ll have the chance to go snorkeling, where you can see many different fish species up close. You can also try feeding some fish by hand.
After snorkeling, the boat will take you to Cerf Island, where you’ll enjoy a delicious Creole BBQ. This meal will give you a taste of local flavors and let you relax on the island.
In the afternoon, you'll head to Moyenne Island, which has been a nature reserve since the 1970s. On Moyenne Island, you’ll see around 200 giant land tortoises roaming freely. It’s a great opportunity to learn about these incredible creatures and enjoy the natural beauty of the island.
