Learn the Traditional Seychellois Art of Sun Printing with Roots Seychelles!

Enjoy the view and learn to create your own custom-printed textile designs with Seychelles artisans of the year! Using the abundant nature of Seychelles, we will teach you the old world printing methods of our ancestors who created their intricate designs using the power of the tropical sun and the fascinating endemic plants found on the island. Our atelier is in the mountains of Beau Vallon where you’ll learn different sun printing techniques. You will also be taught all of the skills needed to design your own fabrics to produce gorgeous pareos and scarves. You’ll be able to take home your own hand-printed textile. We offer our printing classes in a fun, friendly social atmosphere in a peaceful Kreol environment. Reservations required. In addition to an amazing textile design studio, we are also a super fun illustration house specializing in MAPS!  We have been traveling and drawing maps of our journeys for 30 years, and we have designed maps of places all around the world. These days we concentrate on locations in Seychelles and surrounding areas in Africa and the Indian Ocean. Custom/personalized map orders are happily accepted on commission.
