Built in 1855 for Dr. James Henry Brooks, Chief Medical Examiner, this architectural wonder became a National Monument in 1984 after being acquired by the Eastern Telegraphic Company.
Over the years, standing proudly in Victoria, wear and weathering took their toll. In 2018, Gran Kaz and Cable and Wireless Seychelles collaborated to restore
it to its former glory.
Now a public art gallery, generously provided by Gran Kaz, a Seychellois arts and culture steward. Local artists display extraordinary works, while a "Coco de Mer Wall," created with Seychelles Island Foundation, educates about endemic nuts' conservation.
Renovated French colonial home, 1855 wooden build, surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Souvenir shop offers books, local crafts, and fine jewelry. Rotating monthly artist showcases. Open Mon-Fri: 9am-5pm, Sat: 9am-1pm. A true Seychellois treasure.
