Full-day charter of "Djab Lawval" boat for sport fishing from Praslin

Tour Overview (Start 7am – 3pm)

Head out offshore at a range of 12 to 18 miles from Praslin Island, to selected fishing grounds targeting a mixture of some of the fiercest top water predators and some of the bottom dwellers. There is nothing more exciting than to catch a Seychelles red emperor or have a 20 kg wahoo or tuna peeling line off a screaming reel.

We will mix fishing techniques trolling 5 lines using Shimano reels and rods and dropping rigs to the bottom on average 50 m deep for bottom fishing and light jigging with lighter rods and spinning reels.

We use artificial lures, divers and fresh bait for trolling, and we use fresh bait chunks on hook rigs with weight for bottom fishing. We will be using slow pitched jigs for light jigging techniques as well.

Average time to reach fishing ground is around 30 mins with spectacular sightseeing of Praslin coastlines and neighboring islands. Weather conditions can change very quickly in the tropics so be prepared for hot temperatures and unexpected rain often times in a day’s trip. It is advisable to be well prepared with UV shirts, hats, sunglasses and sunscreen.

The Indian ocean is a rich warm current ocean with occasional sighting of spectacular animals such as dolphins, turtles, whale sharks, flying fish and a variety of seabirds hunting alongside us.
